Thibaut Ketterer
Montreal, QC, Canada
Thibaut Ketterer is a native of Chambery, in the Savoie region of the French Alps. His passion for photography began in 2007, during a period of travel (Sweden, US, Ireland). Between 2010 and 2014 Ketterer documented 45,000km of life on the road in Eastern Europe (Russia, Ukraine, Moldavia, Latvia) with punk bands The Traders and Nichiels.
Ketterer has since moved to Canada to study photography at the Cégep de Matane, and graduated in May 2015. During his studies, he developed a preference for documentary and artistic photography, which are evident in his exhbitions ‘‘The Hunt’’ and ‘‘Exodus 138’’. For Ketterer, the key to good documentary photography is developing a rapport with subjects and creating a realistic portrayal of their experiences.
His work can be found in various exhibitions and publications in Canada, France, Belgium, Italy, Georgia (country) and USA.
