Tobi is documentary and a street photographer; he graduated from the department of Estate of management at the University of Lagos.
He gained interest in photography at the age of fifteen shooting films, on his entry into professional photography he switched to digital photography in 2012 as sophomore in the University of Lagos. Tobi’s transition into documentary photography was due to his love for travel and adventure. He his inspired by the works of Akintunde Akinleye, Andrew Esiebo, Bayo Omoboriowo, Tom Sataar, Uche Iroha, Ami Vitale and Mary Ellen Mark.
His aim as a documentary photographer is to use photography as a tool for social change, in light of this, he as carried out assignment for Several NGO and social Enterprise which includes Beyond the Classroom Foundation, Brown button Foundation, International Coalition for The Eradication of Hunger and Abuse, YALI Lagos, Global Shaper Lagos.
As an advocate of African stories, he has documented several festivals across Nigeria such as Osun-Osogbo Festival, Lagos carnival and Udi Uroko festival, Ado Ekiti to mention a few. Tobi was a participant at the LagosPhoto2014 summer school; in 2015 he participated in the shell photography master class.
He is a passionate photographer, Tobi taught photography at the National Youth Service Corps orientation camp in 2016, he is based in Lagos- State, Nigeria willing to take up assignment across the world.
