Tom Jamieson

Tom Jamieson is a freelance documentary photographer based in London, UK.
Focusing on socio-political issues and people groups, his stories have ranged from disenfranchised Iranian youth, immigration in Greece, Cornish trawler-men and most recently the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
He is a regular contributor to the The New York Times as well as CNN, Matter, FT Weekend, Telegraph Magazine, HUCK, Dazed and Confused, VICE, The British Journal of Photography, MTV, Another and Hunger amongst others.
His work has been recognised with nominations in the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize and the Prix Bayeux Calvados Award for War Correspondents in the Young Reporter category as well as being awarded as a winner in Magnum Photos 30 under 30, the Canon / Royal Photographic Society Undergraduate Bursary, a scholarship to attend the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Istanbul and an IdeasTap Innovators Grant.
He has exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London, FOTO8 / HOST Gallery, Margaret Street Gallery and Third Floor Gallery and was listed as one of the BJP's 'Graduates to Watch in 2012'. In 2014 he was invited to take part in a visiting lecturer series at Cambridge University on the subject of documentary photography.
Tom interned at VII Photo in New York in 2011 and graduated from University College Falmouth with a First- Class Honors degree in (BA) Press & Editorial Photography in 2012. He is a member of the Frontline Freelance Register and available for assignment anywhere.
