Tori Ferenc
London, UK
Tori Ferenc is a Polish portrait and documentary photographer. Since 2022, she has been a member of Women Photograph. In her practice, Tori is focusing on the themes of identity, community, and family dynamics. She is interested in documenting the reality of communities that are often marginalised by society - from Orthodox Jews in North London to Irish Travellers gathering at the horse fairs, and the elderly dancers in English dance clubs. Her personal projects have been featured in The Guardian, It’s Nice That, AnOther, Vice Poland, i-D UK, Vogue Italia, Splash & Grab and more.
Her experience in portrait photography allowed her to work with a wide range of magazines and commercial clients, such as The New York Times, Nike, The Washington Post, Financial Times, The Telegraph, Time, Bloomberg and more.
She has been shortlisted in the Magenta Foundation Flash Forward Awards (2017 and 2019) and her work has been shown at the Royal Photographic Society International Exhibition in 2017, Portrait Salon in 2018, and Palm* Photo Prize in 2020. Her most recent project In Waiting, exploring her own motherhood, has been shown at the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize exhibition in 2021 and during Krakow Photomonth in 2022.
She lives in London with her husband and daughter. She is represented by Picture Club.
