Born in Lübeck, Northwestgermany on May the 4th 1965. Loved Kubrick and tried to reshoot 2001 on Super-8, turned to still photography around 1982 because of Capa. Shooting people without hurting them too much, specialist for complicated people who don't like photographers. Working with lots of writers and politicians. Strong sense of humor. Collecting bikes and cameras and books. Preferred setup: SLR with a 85, Rangefinder with a 35. Expert on image editing, wrote two books about Adobe Lightroom and numerous articles about photography in trade magazines. Went to shoot 75 anniversary of D-Day with a Leica and Tri-X. Very fast.
