Trondur Dalsgard
Copenhagen, Denmark
Tróndur Dalsgarð (b.1989) was born and raised in the Faroe Islands, a nation of 48.000 residents in the middle of the North Atlantic.
After winning Faroese Picture of the year in 2012 he moved to Denmark and was accepted at The Danish School of Media- and Journalism (DMJX) where he's due to receive his Bachelor's degree in photojournalism in 2017. During his study he completed a 18-month internship at the danish daily newspaper 'Fyens Stiftstidende'.
In 2014 Tróndur received a silver medal in the Portrait category at the 69th College Photographer of the Year awards.
In early 2015 he was chosen as one of the ten participants in the World Press Photo workshop ‘Storytelling After Dark’.
In 2016 Tróndur was selected for the 5th LUMIX Festival For Young Photojournalism.
Tróndur is currently living in Copenhagen together with his wife and two daughters.
