Free-lance DOP/videographer and photojournalist.
As a photojournalist, I was assigned by magazines like Newsweek and Stern, and commissioned by NGO's like UNICEF. My contributions as a Director of Photography (DOP) range from filming documentary, shooting reportage, news footage, or b-roll for broadcasting services to registrations of art-performances, or recording interviews.
My work is honored with the ICP's Infinity Award in Photojournalism, PhotoEspana Book of the Year, and a World Press Photo award in Hard News Series, among others.
I published two photo books American-led war in Iraq, 'Why Mister, Why?' and 'Baghdad Calling' and exhibited at photo festivals and in museums, such as the Dutch Photo Museum, Rencontres d'Arles, and The Barbican Art Gallery in London. My latest video installation 'The Believers' is 12-meter long video wall with 27 monitors, presenting 1500 video clips.
