William Widmer
Redux Pictures
New Orleans, LA, USA
William Widmer is a narrative photographer whose work often explores issues of environmental justice, human ecology, climate change, poverty, race, and criminal justice. After a decade in New Orleans, he’s traded Mardi Gras and crawfish for horse racing, mint juleps, and deep dish pizza and now splits time between Louisville, KY and Chicago.
He's a regular contributor to The New York Times and covers news and feature stories throughout the Bible Belt, the Midwest, and Appalachia. Mr. Widmer is represented by Redux Pictures for commercial and editorial commissions. He’s a good listener, a licensed drone pilot, and a lovely singer.
