Divorce was my mother’s idea. In fact, she never explained to me why she wanted that divorce. I didn't ask.
It completly destroyed my dad who had to move out and start life from scratch.
They became parents very early and I know that they wanted to give me everything that they didn't have.
My mom comes from a fairly wealthy family-her father was an rich, abusive alcoholic.
My dad comes from a poor family-he left home at the age of 13.
This project is an investigation for me, using a combination of mediums: film(dad is a film director), photography(me) and writing(mom is a writer). How our family really looked like, what gone wrong, what led to all of this? It's an attempt to confront the myth that I created about my family, home and parents. This is an ongoing project and also therapy for me, for all of us.
