He is an artist from Syria, born on July 3, 1974, in Abu Khala, Derbassiye, Al Hasakah Governorate. His artistic journey began in the field of photography in Syria, where he held his first solo exhibition at the Faculty of Architecture at Tishreen University in Latakia in 1995. At the time, he studied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Since then, he has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in various group exhibitions. In 2008, he authored a book on photography titled "The Dictionary of Photography," with the generous support of Kodak.
In 2008, he ventured into documentary films and advertising, where he directed, produced, and created several documentaries through his production company, "Anahita". Sadly, in 2012, his archive and works were destroyed in one of the massive bombings that hit Damascus. This occurred over a year after the onset of the Syrian tragedy and war, and the bombing was later known as the Qazzaz bombing.
In addition to his artistic endeavors, he pursued studies in media at a Syrian university. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete his studies due to the war. Subsequently, he spent two years in Turkey before finally relocating to Germany at the end of 2014. He has been residing in Hamburg since 2015.
While in Hamburg, he produced two short films for significant organizations and pursued studies in the German language and film industry through various courses to better understand the working style in Germany. He also established connections with the artistic community in Germany, including the Hamburg University of Fine Arts (HFBK), the Hamburg Media School (HMS), and the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin).
