Nikita Yurenev
Kiev, Ukraine
I’m a Ukrainian photographer and photojournalist based in Kiev.
My interest in photography first appeared in 2010 when I studied at the Kiev School of Photography (KSP) in Ukraine.
I worked as a photographer at Ukrainian National News Agency “Ukrinform” in 2012-2014 and at Ukrainian Islamic News Agency ”UMMA” in 2014-2015.
A great progress of my photojournalistic experience has been made by working on Ukrainian
Revolution at the Maidan (2013-2014) and while documenting the conflict at the Eastern Ukraine as a freelance photojournalist. As a result of my work, I had been featured in multiple Ukrainian and Russian newspapers.
In March of 2015 I was commissioned by “MotoGlobe” Ukrainian auto magazine to cover the New York International
Autoshow. In US I also worked as a photographer with modern theatre groups, based in New York - “Yara Arts Group” and ”Lost & Found Project” (2015).
During last four years I and my colleagues are the main photographers of a largest Ukrainian cultural festivals - modern art festival “GogolFest” and cinema festival “Molodist”.
In 2016 I had an assignment from UNHCR to cover the life of Ukrainian refugees at the frontline in Donbas region.
Now I’m working at Kiev City State Administration press service as a photojournalist.
